How it works
As an Umbrella Contractor you can enjoy the benefits of working independently, safe in the knowledge that 1st Contact Umbrella is taking care of your tax administration.
We’ve simplified the process
- Register online with 1st Contact Umbrella, there is no joining fee or tie-ins.
- You’ll receive our employment contract which you’ll need to sign and return with a copy of the photo page and visa page (if applicable) of your passport.
- You will then become an employee of 1st Contact Umbrella whilst still enjoying the lucrative benefits of being a contractor.
- Choose your temporary contract, generally via a recruitment agency, and provide us with the contract details.
Then all you need to do is supply us with:
- Timesheets
- Expenses
- Evidence of expenses
We will do the rest:
Send invoices on your behalf based on the timesheet you supply via email, phone or fax; collect payments, perform payroll calculations, take care of PAYE, NI, and VAT payments, and process expense claims.
Ensure your paperwork is correct and up-to-date so that you are paid on time.
Register or fill in the Call back form (on the right) if we can assist you or answer any questions you might have.
What is an Umbrella Company?
An umbrella company entitles individuals to have all the benefits of contracting without the risk or administration involved with using your own Limited Company. An Umbrella payroll solution offers a full administrative service, regarding the relevant tax deductions from your salary.
